Research Studies on Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Completed

Area(s) of work: Education

Duration: May 2017 – September 2017

Status: Completed

Funder/Partner: Save the Children

Save the Children aims to advocate ECCE as a fundamental right for children between the ages of 3 to 6 years. CBPS is commissioned to undertake a comprehensive study to review the status of ECCE policies and programmes in the country implemented by both the private and the public sector. The study would collate best practices currently existing in the field and review their financing models through desk reviews, budget analysis and secondary research; and a series of focus group discussions, interviews and case studies. The final report would thus recommend alternative economic practices for improving the access, coverage and quality of ECCE programmes in the country that also ensures equity, scalability and replicability.

The same report was published by Save the Children and it can be viewed here.
