Study on Governance at District level and below of Policies, Programmes and Schemes related to children Completed

The study focuses on understanding the governance at district level and below, particularly the processes of planning, budgeting, implementation and monitoring focusing on the access to entitlements under various laws, policies and more specifically, schemes implemented at district and below.  The project aims to gain insights on the governance at all levels ( District, Block/ Mandal, Gram Panchayat/ Village) including interactions with the state. It also aims to understand all child related legislations, guidelines, programmes and schemes implemented at the district and the state level (Central schemes/Centrally Sponsored Schemes, state level schemes/State Sponsored Schemes).

The study comprises of field research and desk review to understand schemes in two blocks and four villages in order to understand nuances of fund-flow, reach, efficacy of programs relating to children ( especially below 6 years and that of adolescents) in the district of Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh and Sitapur in Uttar Pradesh.
