CBPS Team participated in the XVIII International Conference on Public Policy & Management 2023

CBPS Team participated in the XVIII International Conference on Public Policy & Management, hosted by the Centre for Public Policy (CPP) at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, held from 22nd to 24th August 2023.

On the 23rd of August 2023, Jyotsna Jha, along with Anil Suraj (Associate Professor, Public Policy, IIMB), moderated the Praxis Researcher Forum, where Hasmukh Adhia (Former Finance Secretary, Govt of India) and Amarjeet Sinha (Former Rural Development Secretary, Govt of India) spoke on the topics ‘GST Policy Design & Implementation’ and ‘Gram Swaraj Abhiyan 2018 – Consolidating the gains of Pro-Poor Public Welfare’, respectively.

Jyotsna Jha, Niveditha Menon, Neha Ghatak & Abida U C, Archana Purohit from CBPS, and Nikhil Dey (Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan, Rajasthan) also presented papers respectively in a panel organised by CBPS titled ‘What is Inclusiveness?’. The panel was chaired by Deepak Malghan (Associate Professor, Public Policy, IIMB) between 4:00 – 5:30 pm.

  • ‘Rajasthan’s Budget 2023-2024: a movement towards an inclusive budgetary framework’ – by Nikhil Dey, Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan, Rajasthan
  • ‘Gender responsive budgeting as a tool for inclusive public policy and finance’ – by Jyotsna Jha, CBPS
