Our approach
Examining the role of decentralisation in governance
CBPS adopts an interdisciplinary approach to governance, focusing on the 3Fs—Functions, Funds, and Functionaries. By analysing policies, budgets, and institutional processes, CBPS addresses governance challenges, emphasising inclusion, transparency, and equity. We work on service delivery mechanisms, decision-making autonomy, and the legal frameworks governing Panchayati Raj Institutions and Urban Local Bodies. Through capacity-building and actionable insights, CBPS strengthens decentralised governance to improve public services and promote participation from marginalised communities in policy making and implementation processes.
