CBPS conducted independent monitoring and evaluation for Karuna Trust, which piloted an intervention in improving water quality surveillance in the districts of Chamarajanagar and Chikkaballapura. Funded by Arghyam, the interveintion aimed at enhancing awareness about issues relating to water quality and bridging gaps in information sharing between different levels. Karuna Trust also entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Government of Karnataka to implement their initiative. The results of an CBPS' mid-term evaluation demonstrated that while there were some positive changes due to the intervention, the overall impact was poor.
