An Assessment of Criteria for Block Grants and Current Practices and Capacity of Gram Panchayats in Karnataka

The study assessed the appropriateness of different criteria for providing block grants to more backward and most backward Gram Panchayats. The study also assessed the current practices and capacities in terms of accounting and auditing practices in sample Gram Panchayats.
