CBPS, with funding from the MacArthur Foundation, has initiated a three-year study on Open and Distance Learning. The research study examines ODL as a viable alternative in secondary education. It seeks to provide information on present gaps and the desired future actions for ODL.
The first Advisory Committee Meeting, held on 26 June 2014 in Bengaluru, witnessed discussion of a framework for desk review and analysis of secondary data besides planning for the next phase. Members of the advisory committee are Prof. Shyam Menon (Ambedkar University), Prof. Vimala Ramachandran (NUEPA), Prof. Jyotsna Jalan (CSSS), Prof. V. Sudhakar (EFLU), Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj (NIOS), and Dr. Frances Ferreira (COL).
