CBPS organised a Seminar on Public Policy, Delivery and Decentralised Governance on November 29 and 30, 2012. His Excellency Dr. Hans Raj Bhardwaj, Governor of Karnataka, inaugurated the seminar while the keynote speech was given by Prof. Isaac Thomas, Former Finance Minister, Kerala.
CBPS’ studies on health (Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana), education (Right To Education), fiscal finance (Devolution of Funds and Centrally Sponsored Schemes) and a case study on Brazil’s Zero Hunger Strategy were presented. Panel discussions on universalisation versus cash transfers (in health and education sectors) and federal financing were followed by presentations.
