Jyotsna Jha, Director of CBPS, represented the Malala Fund to advocate for an enhanced commitment from G20 leaders to twelve years of education for girls worldwide by presenting to the B20 Business Women Leaders Task Force. The B20 Business Women Leaders Task Force met on 3 October 2018 at the Presidential Pink Palace in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where Jyotsna Jha, an Education Champion from India, along with Lucia Fry from the Malala Fund, presented them a case for enhancing the domestic as well as international funding for secondary education in developing countries.
Advance copies of the recently released report titled Full Force by Malala Fund were shared with the Task Force members to provide them evidence of how girls’ education can contribute significantly to their economies and transform societies. Jyotsna also attended selected sessions at the W20 summit and B20 summit held in Buenos Aires, Argentina from 2 to 4 October 2018. Women 20, or W20, is the women’s voice of the G20 community while Business 20, or B20, is the private sector´s voice of the G20 community.
