Government of Rajasthan uses our Report on Child Marriage for shaping State Strategy and State Plan of Action

The recently published report titled, Reducing Child Marriage in India: A Model to Scale Up Results by CBPS – UNICEF is being used by Department of Women and Child Development, Government of Rajasthan for addressing the issue of child marriage in the State. The report is being used to develop a State Strategy and State Plan of Action. The findings of the Report were discussed in the State Consultation on ‘Developing State Strategy and Action Plan on Prevention of Child Marriages in Rajasthan’ organised by the Department of Women and Child, Government of Rajasthan, UNFPA and UNICEF, Rajasthan on 4 May 2016. It was also presented, by Chief of Child Protection, UNICEF and discusses extensively at a workshop on ‘Growing up in Rajasthan-Exploring Agenda for Action on Adolescents’ organised by UNICEF and Sandhan on 9 May 2016.
