A study titled “Enhancing Quality Through Technology Based Solutions: A Study of Radio and Audio Modes of Intervention in Elementary Schools of Karnataka” is presented here. This study was a part of a 15 country project titled ‘Strengthening Institutions to Improve Public Expenditure Accountability’.
This study analysed the per child expenditure for both radio (IRI) and audio (IAI) modes of delivery in public schools in Karnataka. It also analysed the impact of technology-based solutions on student learning in mathematics and science and the effects of the intervention on classroom practices. A policy simulation exercise was also conducted based on this study.
