On request of the Department of Women and Child Development (WCD), an ethnographic study of the Hot Cooked Meals (HCM) pilot programme for Pregnant and Lactating women (P&L) that was launched by the Department was undertaken in two districts. The study employed methods of observations, interviews and case studies at selected anganwadis for this purpose.
