The study analysed well-performing Gram Panchayats (GPs) and other institutions, such as Anganwadi Centres, VHSNC, SDMC, and Bal Vikas Samithi, at the GP level to evaluate their functioning in relation to statutory responsibilities across various divisions of Karnataka. This analysis aimed to identify how beacon GPs successfully delivered welfare services for children. The study focused on the steps taken by these GPs and GP-level institutions to enhance children's prospects, which could be scaled up for a broader impact. It also sought to assist other GPs in optimising their funds, budgets, and provisions to better serve children's interests in unique ways tailored to local needs. Additionally, the research identified the foundations of successful efforts, including the performance of key institutions like AWC, VHSNC, SDMC, and Bal Vikas Samithi at the GP level.
