This objective of this study, conducted in two Backward Region Grant Fund districts of Karnataka viz. Gulbarga and Davangere, was exploring the differences in Gram Panchayats with women and men Adhyakshas in terms of:
- Priorities for investment in different sectors
- Delivery of services in education and health
- Own source revenue generation
- Participation of women and girls in various democratic processes
- Impact of women Adhyakshas on the functioning of GPs.
