Abstract

This policy brief looks at the enrollment and utilisation of the Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY), a health insurance scheme operated by the government. In-depth interviews of various stakeholders involved in the process of enrollment of RSBY were conducted. 2 talukas each of Shimoga and Bangalore Rural districts were visited, where CBPS had conducted an impact evaluation of RSBY in 2013.
