Save the Children aims to advocate ECCE as a fundamental right for children between the ages of 3 to 6 years. CBPS was commissioned to undertake a comprehensive study to review the status of ECCE policies and programmes in the country implemented by both the private and the public sector. The study collated best practices currently existing in the field and reviewed their financing models through desk reviews, budget analysis and secondary research. It also entailed a series of focus group discussions, interviews and case studies. The final report recommended alternative economic practices for improving the access, coverage and quality of ECCE programmes in the country that also ensures equity, scalability and replicability.
The report was published by Save the Children and it can be viewed here. A guide for understanding how to read the reports that came out of the project has also been prepared, which can be found here.
